A Groundbreaking Innovation in Roof Maintenance
Roof Savers is not just another roof rejuvenation company. Roof Savers exclusive product, Renueit™17, is patent pending with Microcraze VR™ and RocLoc™ Technology that locks down granulars and comes with UV inhibiters that extend the life of asphalt shingles by 17 years with just one application and just one treatment. It's completely safe, environmentally friendly, and helps property owners save thousands of dollars compared to a full roof replacement—guaranteed.
Do Soy Methyl Ester Products Work?
Our competitors use Soy Methyl Ester products and the problem with these products is they only last 5 years per application when used as a roof rejuvenation application. So when you see advertising claiming up to 15 years, what they are really saying is 5 years per application which means 3 visits over 15 years and 3 different payments. You can almost buy a new roof by the time you pay 3 times for bio based and soy methyl ester rejuvenation products for your roof. Don't believe us!! Check out what their websites say.
Preservation vs Rejuvenation
Renueit™17 by Roof Savers has a better solution than rejuvenation-It called PRESERVATION!
The Preservation goal is to keep something alive and protected from harm.
The Rejuvenation goal is to only make something appear to look better
So why rejuvenate when you can preserve your asphalt shingles.
What Roof Savers Treatment Does
- Preserves aging asphalt shingles so they don't have to be replaced
- Extends the life of the shingles by 17 years
- Reduces damage caused by wind and hail
- Restores shingle color
- Kills algae and moss, and hinders re-growth
- Keeps shingles out of landfills (more below)
- Locks in granules and reactivates adhesives
Lab Tested
Independent testing by PRI Asphalt Technologies compared treated vs. untreated shingles with the following findings:
- Granular adhesion improved by 86%.
- Flexibility improved from "fail" to "pass".
- Hail impact was improved.
- Fire resistance improved by 40%.
Environmental Impact
In the US alone, over 11 million tons of asphalt shingles are dumped into landfills every year. Due to cost and difficulty of recycling, most shingles are never recycled, increasing the potential for negative environmental impact to air quality (shingle dust) and water quality (seepage of petro-chemicals into ground water). Every roof saved by Roof Savers is one less in the landfill.
Typically, shingles that are five to ten years old begin to show signs of aging and granule loss, making them good candidates for treatment with the Roof Rejuvenate product before they start to curl and become brittle. Shingles that are already curled at the edges, have severe granule loss, or show other significant damage may not qualify for the restoration process.
Renueit™ offers their dealers and customers their USDA Certified BioBased Product 90%, with natural food-grade oils. It is safe in small quantities, can be washed off with soap and water, and not harmful around pets, plants and people.
Shingle restoration typically costs about 15% of what a full replacement would.
The average cost of roof replacement in 2024 was $10,000, compared to just $1,500 for a roof treatment.
A certified Renueit™ dealer will asses your roofs condition and qualify it for the rejuvenation process. Based on the size, pitch, access and condition of the roof an estimate will be provided.
By treating your shingles, you can extend their lifespan by at least 17 years beyond their expected durability. (For example, a ten-year-old shingle may have 5–8 years left; with treatment, that can be extended by an additional 5 years.) That said, no reputable solar company will install panels on a failing roof. This type of treatment offers both homeowners and solar companies another option and a longer timeframe before roof replacement becomes necessary.
Shingle restoration revives aging asphalt shingles by replenishing essential oils and materials, helping to prevent problems like cracking and granule loss. Soft washing with sodium hypochlorite uses a bleach-based solution to remove organic stains such as algae and moss, improving the roof’s appearance without harming the shingles. Shingle restoration focuses on extending the life and performance of the shingles, while soft washing addresses cosmetic concerns—each serving a distinct purpose in roof maintenance.
That’s not true. Our product isn’t a sealant or coating that forms an external barrier—it absorbs into the shingle and replenishes the essential components that have been depleted over time. If a roof is over 10 years old, the original shingle warranty is often of little value. Most manufacturers stop covering labor after 10 years, so if you file a claim for defective materials, you’ll likely receive only a prorated portion of the material cost—leaving you to cover the labor yourself, which makes up the majority of the expense.
Properly applied, The Roof Savers Renueit™ Rejuvenation treatment is formulated to keep asphalt shingles flexible for a period of 17-years. Should they lose their flexibility during the seventeen year limited warranty period, Roof Savers will re-treat the areas of concern at no charge to the homeowner.
Some owners want to stop the aging process on older shingles, so depending on how old they are we may not be able to warranty a shingle that is starting to show signs of extreme aging, like when the shingles are starting to curl up. The warranty is transferable to the next homeowner.
Yes, the shingles will darken, resembling their original color when they were new. This change is noticeable right after the treatment is applied, but the darkening gradually fades over the next few days as the oils penetrate deeper into the shingles. Over the next couple of years, the shingles will begin to lighten again as the surface oils oxidize. At that point, another application of Renueit™ can be used to keep the shingles nourished and performing well for additional years.
We recommend cleaning the roof first, then treating your shingles with Renueit™. Any remaining moss or algae will likely be smothered and killed during the process. That said, our gallery contains plenty of before-and-after photos showing how Renueit™ effectively eliminated black streaks and heavy moss from roofs—even without a prior cleaning—by deeply conditioning the shingles.
It really depends on the insurance company—most agree that maintaining shingles helps save both them and homeowners money over time. This treatment reconditions the shingles, restoring flexibility and helping them retain their protective granules. Any inspector would see a treated shingle and recognize that it performs like new: it’s holding granules in place, remains flexible, and isn’t curling at the edges.
Renueit™ is a 90% USDA Certified bio-based product. Its “green” benefit also comes from helping reduce the nearly 11 million tons of asphalt shingles that end up in landfills each year. By extending the life of asphalt shingles, this treatment keeps them on roofs and out of landfills longer. The longer we can preserve and maintain materials that are difficult to recycle, the better it is for the environment.
Our treatment works by penetrating the surface of the shingle, targeting live growth and effectively eliminating it—even reaching the lower tabs. This removal of organic growth, combined with the restoration of essential oils within the shingle, greatly reduces the chance of mold returning. The result is a roof with a uniform, darker appearance, similar to how it looked when new.
While soft washing or roof cleaning can boost curb appeal quickly, it often involves harsh chemicals like sodium hypochlorite that may accelerate shingle deterioration over time. Our goal is to educate homeowners about alternative solutions. By choosing proactive shingle care and conditioning, they can extend the life of their roof while also improving its overall appearance.
